Bentleigh East, Victoria

Fronting the street is an iconic Bluestone capped, warm stacked ‘Grampians’ Limestone wall constructed to the City of Glen Eira’s approved height with a decadent deciduous Boston Ivy gently climbing up the façade. To the right-hand side, a street-facing integrated planter in the same stacked Limestone encases the first of many Magnolias.
Directly opposite is the private entry gate, tucked behind the front wall, which allows one to step off the street before entering the property. At night, the street number and garden beds illuminate to showcase this stunning entance.
Stepping up on the deck leading to the front of the house entry area, the warmth of the Merbau timber deck combined with the perfume of the Magnolia trees lining the side boundary creates an instant sense of peace and harmony. In the evening, the tree’s up-lights, path light, and water feature lighting elevate the garden for a sophisticated night experience.
The large timber deck areas seamlessly connect the entertainment room with the main house and a wide unhindered lawn for the children enhances this aesthetic lifestyle. The rich evergreen Ficus hedge bordering the boundary tigether with the fragrance of Gardenia envelops the space for a truly uplifting experience.
Stepping into the rear garden, the focus is firmly on the aesthetic functionality of space tied to the stately architecture of the home. Connecting the front and rear designs are a pair of striking custom tall ‘Jade’ feature pots planted with Buxus ball topiaries in the same material as the front garden water feature.
Overlooking the lawn, tucked into the rear is an outstanding timber pergola roofed with decorative laser-cut screens for undercover open-air entertainment. The hanging pendant lights and Bluestone crazy-pave complete this oasis set in the heart of all sumptuous greenery.
