A garden design with a long strip of swim pools and water features like water wall.

Designed alongside a modern French-inspired residence in Balwyn, Metung Garden uses linear water elements to connect the comfortable indoor environment with a peaceful yet dynamic outdoor landscape. The design focuses on incorporating the fluid character of water within the more structured architectural setting, connecting the different areas of the garden through both movement and view.

At the entrance, two rows of Rosa ‘Iceberg’ create a striking welcome with their stunning white flowers. The minimalism front garden combines rows of roses with Bluestone paving, corner lawn and strip planting beds to create an elegant and inviting arrival.

The backyard garden with a elevated outdoor entertainment deck and a lawn which is able to be overlooked from inside of the house. White pavings are to match with the architecture.
The backyard area is a large open multi-functional space with lawn and white stone pavings.

At the back, an outdoor entertaining deck is positioned in an ideal location, adjacent to the rear garden and the side water features.

From this central location, both outdoor spaces can be viewed and experienced, allowing the deck to function as an important transition between different areas of the landscape, allowing you to feel the dynamic water flow as well as the serenity of the rear garden.

Led light designed to subtly illuminate the garden, casting shadow on the white pavings and concrete.

The rear garden sits several steps below the deck, with paving selected to complement the architecture of the residence. This lower garden operates as an extension of the internal living space and accommodates a variety of family activities.

Along the side of the property, a series of pools and water features creates a strong linear view. The combination of water, selected pool tiles and water walls introduces depth, movement and a more complex visual experience within this enclosed space.

The pool area has been designed not only for visual impact, but also with careful consideration of functionality, circulation and everyday use. Together, these elements create a classic yet engaging residential garden.
